At Etenevä (pronounced e-Ten-e-Va, meaning progress) we understand that health and fitness is as individual as a fingerprint. Everyone is different, whether in lifestyle, job, work-life balance (or lack of, for most of us), family life and approach to food and exercise. We also understand that everyone’s starting point is different, and therefore their goals may be different. That’s why we offer bespoke training. Fitness, your way.
Train the way that best suits you, with no distraction. Our brand-new, indoor training facility is completely private, meaning you have the gym to yourself. Free of other gym users, you will have the space and time you need to work towards your personal ambition. Progress, your way.

ABOUT ME
It is important to choose a trainer whose values and motivations mirror your own, because above all, this is about you getting what you need from your precious time. So, to make sure you are in the best position to make an informed decision about whether we are the right fit, here is a little bit about me.
Years ago I had a motor bike accident. I was on the GB & Commonwealth fencing team and was on my way to the Commonwealth Games. The accident left me with six broken ribs, broken arm, elbow, shoulder and a few other bumps and bruises. To rehabilitate post-surgery I was recommended weight training. I had only ever been to a gym to increase my cardio fitness levels and had always stayed away from the free-weight area. It was a little intimidating if I’m honest. However, after working with a PT, I was feeling better, fitter and stronger than ever and made the Commonwealth Games winning Bronze. Since then I have been weight training to improve my fitness, maintain my body weight, muscle mass and improve my injury resistance. This has enabled me to maintain my position on the team to this day.
I started Etenevä to share my enthusiasm for health and fitness. Being a fully qualified level 3 PT, combined with my personal experience at international level sport, I am in an excellent position to share my knowledge with you. In addition, I have a level 3 nutrition qualification enabling me to advise on a wholistic approach to the food you eat and activities you undertake, allowing you to achieve your ambition as efficiently as possible.
We will create completely personalised plans which will fit around your work, family life and hectic schedule. Our priority is to make this fun, engaging and sustainable, varying your weekly plan, exercises and intensity levels to optimise your development, keep you entertained and prevent burn-out. Whether you have access to a gym, weights at home or no equipment at all, together we can create a plan to maximise your time investment.

Where we can train
I have built a unique, fully-equipped, private facility where you can train at your own pace, the way you want to. If you feel uneasy training in a public gym with hundreds of members, then this does two things: 1) it allows you to feel comfortable in the space, whereas some gyms can feel a little intimidating; 2) you can train, learn and develop at your own pace with no distractions.
Because the gym is private, you can work out, feel safe and relaxed, and be yourself with no judgement. If you don’t understand something, or have concerns around “looking silly” doing a particular exercise, don’t. Allowing you to train how you want, the way you want, working at your own pace (with encouragement) is the best way to get results. This is fitness, your way.
WHO IS IT FOR
In short, this is for everybody! You should never feel that you can’t take a first step towards achieving your goals. Health and fitness is as individual to you as your fingerprint and we understand that. We know that by helping you adopt a healthy balance between your activity levels and the food you eat, your immune system, energy levels, mental, physical and emotional wellbeing will all benefit.
In an ideal world we would have enough time to eat well and train regularly but sometimes this is just not possible, so don’t beat yourself up. This is 100% normal. No-one lives like that 24h a day 7 days a week. Just as one salad won’t make you healthy, one burger won’t make you unhealthy. So, If you are looking for a sustainable change or have a date and transformation in mind, no matter what your experience or current level of fitness, we can help.
